Draft Order in Council (Grouping India Ceylon

,under

Hong Kong Straits and the Falay States &c.,

Part II.of the Fugitive Offenders Act,1861.)

WHEREAS by an Order of Her Majesty

Queen Victoria in Council bearing date the

twelfth day of December 1885 it was ordered that

Part II of the Fugitive Offenders Act,1881,

should apply to the group of British possessions

therein mentioned that is to say, Her Majesty's

East Indian territories, Ceylon and the Straits

Settlements.

AND WHEREAS by a further Order of Her

Eajesty Queen Victoria in Council also bearing

date the twelfth day of December 1885 it was

ordered that Part II of the Fugitive Offenders

Act, 1681, should apply to the group of British

possessions therein mentioned, that is to say

the Straits Settlements, Hong Kong and Labuan;

AND WHEREAS under and by virtue of

October

Letters Patent dated the thirtieth day of October

of the Colony 1906, the boundaries/of the Straits Settlements

were extended so as to include the Colony of

Labuan
